Purpose
The Project Contracts Administrator will manage contract lifecycles for capital and sustaining projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule. This role requires expertise in contract drafting, negotiation support, change management, and compliance monitoring, with integration into project controls systems for cost and performance tracking.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain all project contracts from initiation through closeout.
- Draft, review, and manage contract terms, amendments, and change orders.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support procurement in tendering processes, bid evaluations, and contract award documentation.
- Track contractor performance, milestones, and deliverables against scope and schedule.
- Integrate contracts with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Project Costing for cost control and financial reporting.
- Align contract obligations and schedules with Microsoft Project Professional.
- Prepare contract performance and risk dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Resolve contract disputes and escalate issues as necessary to project leadership.
- Provide contract administration reports and recommendations to the Director of Projects and PMO leadership.
Training and Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years of contract administration experience in mining, industrial, or heavy construction projects.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Project Costing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project Professional for schedule-to-contract alignment.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI for performance dashboards and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement, and project delivery models (EPC, EPCM, Design-Build).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts concurrently.
