Purpose

Are you ready to take your career in heavy duty equipment maintenance to the next level? Join our team as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and become an integral part of a dynamic at Discovery. Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize your advanced knowledge of heavy-duty equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse range of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment.
• Technical Analysis: Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements, modifications, or upgrades to enhance productivity, safety, and efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used, ensuring a thorough and organized documentation process.

Training and Education

• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy duty equipment maintenance and repair
• Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) required
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment.
