Discovery Silver Corp. has an exciting opportunity for an Operations EIT.

The Position:

Discovery Kidd Creek offers an exciting EIT development program that provides graduates with unique training opportunities in the world’s deepest base metal mine. Working closely with an experienced Engineer, you will gain experience in the practical aspects of Mine Engineering. The Mine Operations EIT role will provide a detailed understanding of the workings within operations, while managing projects to improve the safety/ efficiency of mine operations with opportunities to gain front line mining experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have:

• A university degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience, including student jobs or co-op placements;
• Experience with front line operations is considered an asset
• Advanced computer skills, with a focus on Microsoft Suite.
• Strong interpersonal, critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually in a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexibility to travel to other mine sites if required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive total compensation package including:

• Health, Dental, Life, AD&D, Disability, Healthcare and Wellness Spending Accounts, Virtual Care and Employee and Family Assistance Program;
• Company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; and
• Annual compensation of CAD$70,000 to CAD$87,000.
