Purpose

To inspect, document and perform preventive maintenance on all types of surface equipment. Co-ordinate with Supervisors on Preventative maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspection of equipment. 

• Check equipment for proper performance.  

• Identify and document any equipment faults and malfunctions.  

• Utilize computerized equipment to check for any fault codes. 

• Test safety devices and braking system of equipment. 

• Check tire air pressure and measure tire diameter. 

• Perform electrical checks as per pm check list.  

• Take fluid samples. 

• Replace oils and filters as per PM check list. 

• Clean operator compartments.  

• Lubricate grease points and replace faulty grease fittings. 

• Replace all broken grease lines as needed.  

• Document work performed and return PM sheets to supervisor. 

• Clean and organize work area. 

Training and Education

• High school diploma. 

• Surface Common Core would be an asset 

• Computer literate with specific knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook SAP would be an asset.
