Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Geologist, the position will be part of the Exploration Department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful planning, execution, and interpretation of the Exploration activities at Borden within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide geological support to the Borden Exploration team including generation of exploration targets, concepts, and models.
- Design diamond drill holes and prepare detailed layouts for drill crews. Communicate with drill contractors to ensure sites are prepared and schedules are aligned.
- Ensuring geological data is collected to company specified standards, with strict adherence to QA/QC protocols and validated drill logs.
- Monitor daily drilling progress and conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
- Log exploration core and track core movement to ensure efficient core movement.
- Compile and interpret 3D geological and assay data using industry-standard software, ensuring timely plotting and analysis.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting requirements with accurate and up-to-date geological information.
- Communicate assay results, interpretations, and recommendations to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Visit drill sites to assess safety and technical requirements.
Training and Education
- Honours Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree or higher
- Must hold a Ontario Professional Geologist designation.
- 5-7 years of gold exploration with contractor management experience
- Experience with geological software (LeapFrog, Datamine etc.)
- Ability to communicate clearly & confidently, on a timely basis.
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Industry-standard training in First-Aid, WHIMIS, an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive total compensation package including:

- Annual total compensation of CAD$126,528 to CAD$156,299 (including annual bonus eligibility).
