Responsibilities

• Ensure purchasing planning, calls for tenders and evaluation of bids;
• Ensure that AEM's sourcing processes and procedures are followed;
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and construction to develop tender documents and statements of work;
• Ensure that goods and services are acquired at the most economically advantageous price and meet the specific requirements related to the work, quality criteria, and deadlines;
• Ensure that the general conditions of our agreements with communities are respected.

Training and Education

• College or university degree in one of these fields (business administration, finance, accounting, business law, sales, marketing, or appropriate professional experience);
• A sourcing certification (SCMC, CSCP, CIPM, SCMP, or SCM) is an asset;
• Experience in an industrial environment or heavy industry (experience in the mining sector is an asset);
• Awareness of cultural differences and understanding of working within Indigenous communities is an asset;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills;
• Excellent practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;

Compensation and Benefits
Competitive total compensation package including:

• Health, Dental, Life, AD&D, Disability, Healthcare and Wellness Spending Accounts, Virtual Care and Employee and Family Assistance Program;
• Company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; and
• Annual total compensation of CAD$108,678 to CAD$134,250 (including annual bonus eligibility).
