Purpose

Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, the Mine Engineering Graduate is responsible for the coordination and delivery of mine engineering services.

Responsibilities

  •  Short to medium term (0 to 12 month) mine plans and schedules;
  • Conceptual design and evaluation of mine design and scheduling options;
  • Participating in preparation of first principle cashflow modelling;
  • Monitoring and evaluation of production stoping QA/QC;
  • Provide support to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives;
  • Collaborating with technical, operations and maintenance teams to contribute to a safe and efficient mine operation


Training and Education

  • A Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or equivalent engineering degree;
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of underground mine engineering experience;
  • Ability to register as Professional Engineer (P.Eng) once experience requirements have been satisfied;
  • Strong Deswik skills in mine design and scheduling;
  • Understanding of underground mine design, scheduling, costing, survey, ventilation and regulatory standards;


Compensation and Benefits
Competitive total compensation package including:

  • Annual total compensation of CAD$109,347 to CAD$135,076 (including annual bonus eligibility).
