The Position:
The Manager, Finance Data Governance is responsible for the governance, integrity, and alignment of financial and operational master data across the organization, ensuring consistency between SAP and OneStream. This role also serves as the functional owner and administrator of accounting systems, supporting financial consolidation, reporting, and planning processes.
Working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and IT teams, the role supports system integrations, data governance, security and controls, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure reliable, scalable, and well-controlled financial systems and data flows across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the master data governance framework across SAP and OneStream, including chart of accounts, cost centers, entities, projects, and hierarchies specific to mining operations;
- Act as the OneStream system administrator, managing dimensions, metadata, security, workflows, and system configurations;
- Ensure data alignment and integration between SAP and OneStream, including mapping, data flows, and reconciliation between source and reporting systems;
- Act as the ultimate escalation point for master data issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations and reporting;
- Partner with Finance, Site Operations, and IT to support monthly close, consolidation, and management reporting, resolving data and system issues;
- Establish and enforce data standards and workflows for master data creation and maintenance;
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT governance teams to ensure compliance with corporate security standards, audit requirements, and internal controls;
- Identify and drive opportunities for automation, enhancements, and process efficiencies across the finance systems environment;
- Partner with IT, ERP, and infrastructure teams to support system integrations, interface monitoring, data flows, and overall finance systems architecture;
- Provide user support, training, and documentation for finance and operational teams using OneStream;
- Support planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes within OneStream, ensuring data structures align with operational realities of mine sites;
- Translate business and finance requirements into scalable system and process solutions in collaboration with technical teams and external vendors; and
- Support other adjacent systems (i.e. FloQast) to ensure end-to-end data integrity.
Skills and Qualifications:
- CPA or equivalent preferred;
- 8–12+ years of experience in finance systems, master data, or financial reporting in a complex industry (mining, energy, or manufacturing preferred);
- Strong hands-on experience with OneStream (administration/configuration);
- Deep understanding of SAP master data structures and financial processes;
- Experience with financial consolidation, planning, and reporting systems;
- Strong knowledge of data governance and internal controls (SOX); and
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
